Let it Snow!

Yay! I LOVE snow! Of course I can say that because I don't usually live in it, however, today is quite a different story. I mean really....a snow storm in Vegas? When we took Payton outside to see what she would think about all this white stuff, we didn't get much of a reaction from her. (OK, I know....like I should really expect a 5 month old to notice her own foot, much less snow on the ground!) So Bryce had the brilliant idea of having her make a snow angel. Well, you can see how she felt about that plan! Oh well, she can't be a smiling bundle of joy in every picture! Hope everyone enjoys the Winter Wonderland while it's here!

By the way, I found this great website for making fantastic digital scrapbook layouts and more. Check it out at http://www.smilebox.com/. Have fun!

Santa Baby...

Santa posed with his favorite "Reindeer in Training" today. Isn't she so cute? I just want to squeeze those chubby little cheeks!

Rollie Pollie

Finally! Payton has been rolling over for about two weeks now. She never really enjoyed being on her tummy up until then, so I almost gave up on her ever learning to roll over! Now, however, I can't stop her from doing it! My sweet little rollie pollie.

Surprise!

We decided to surprise my mom for Thanksgiving by visiting her in Texas. She had absolutely no idea we were coming until Steve started driving to the airport Monday afternoon while they were out doing errands. She said it was the best surprise ever to have her grand-daughter for Thanksgiving (never mind her OWN daughter!). Payton did so well on her first trip...I think that means we should go on vacation more often, right? We had such a great time, I only wish the days didn't go by so fast! Here are a few pictures of our time down in the Lone Star State....

What a nice surprise!

Obsessed

yes... I AM one of those Twilight fanatics.
yes... I KNOW that the series was targeted for teenage girls.
yes... I HAVE dreamt about Edward Cullen.

SO???

I really only have one thing to say about the movie (the very one that I've Googled a million times, You Tubed almost everyday since filming started, and watched my count down ticker tick away for).....

L-O-V-E-D it!

Best Photographer

Today we had our Christmas card pictures taken by my friend Jamie. She is such a talented photographer. These are just a couple of the pictures that she gave me a sneek peek of. Don't you just love Payton's hat? Luckily she doesn't seem to mind when I put them on her! The link for Jamie's photography website is on my blog so be sure to take a look at it!

Spoiled?

I always told myself that when I had children I would not allow them to have toys strung out all over the house. Well today when I set up a bouncer for Payton, I took a good look around me and realized I was surrounded! Usually when Payton goes to bed, I straighten up and put everything in its place..... however during the day is quite a different story. When she starts to get fussy in one toy, we rotate her to another. Such is the routine of our day...eat, play, rotate, play, rotate, play, nap, eat...etc. I think it's safe to say she's a little bit spoiled! Oh well, she's too young to be tainted...... right?

Getting So Big!

Payton had her 4 month visit at the pediatrician yesterday. She is now 15 lbs 6 oz and 24.5 in. long! It's hard to believe she is almost double her birth weight! Every time she has to go up a clothing size I get teary-eyed. However, I love every new day that brings with it exciting new discoveries. She is so interactive now and getting so good with her hand coordination. She is most definitely a daddy's girl already. Whenever Bryce walks in the room her face immediately goes to him and lights up. Her eyes follow him all around and she gives him the biggest smiles.....she absolutely adores him. Payton does, however, love to cuddle with me. Although, it may be because I give her no choice in the matter! I wish I had another arm to hold her in all day!

The doctor also said it was time Payton starting being spoon fed her rice cereal. This was her reaction to that....

Tricks and Treats Party

Last Saturday, Payton and I went to Holly and Auntie Kim's house for a fun night of making Halloween treats and decorating pumpkins. Well, in truth, I ate the treats and painted our pumpkin while Pay was smothered with hugs and kisses all night as usual. "Granties", Vanessa, and Andrew were also there. We had a great time watching movies like "The Corpse Bride" and "Hocus Pocus" (my favorite Halloween movie!).

One Happy Family.....

Well this is it.... our big step into blogging world! Payton is 4 months old now, and growing up fast, so I figure this is the best way to keep everyone updated on the family. It seems like only yesterday she was kicking around inside me. Well....she's still kicking around, but now she's becoming an independent little girl who has mommy and daddy wrapped around her tiny pinkie finger. Payton's biggest accomplishments right now are pushing herself up on her tummy, figuring out how to put things in her mouth (something I'm sure I won't find cute one day), and discovering her voice. She has finally started laughing too! Everyday with her is amazing. We couldn't be a happier family.
